‘N13bn Bauchi airport to boost revenue’

Daily Trust - - AVIATION - From Ahmed Mohammed, Bauchi

The Bauchi State Government has explained that the newly constructed N13 billion Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport would boost its internally generated revenue.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Ishola Micheal Adeyemi, made this known, yesterday, during a facility tour by journalists in Bauchi.

He said apart from boosting economic activities in the state, the airport will bring investors to the state, thereby creating more employment opportunities.

Adeyemi said: “The newly constructed airport will also serve as an alternative cargo airport for Kano State so that traders who desire to transact business in Bauchi, can do so without taking road transportation. This will ease their stress and make their travels comfortable.”
