Abduction of female students painful – ACF

Daily Trust - - NEWS - From Misbahu Bashir, Kaduna

The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) yesterday described the abduction of about 129 female students of the Government Girls Secondary Schools, Chibok in Borno State as painful.

National Publicity Secretary of the forum, Mohammed Ibrahim, said the abduction from an area of heavy military presence was sad.

“It’s sad, painful and unfortunate that such incident of abduction of students by insurgents in a state where you have an emergency rule with heavy presence of military and other security agencies could take place”, he said.

“Students do not even understand the grievances of the insurgents”, he added, urging security agencies to intensify effort in search of the girls and their captors.
