JIBWIS condemns Abuja blast
The National chairman, Council of Ulama of Jama’atul Izalatul Bidia Wa Iqamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS) Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir, yesterday condemned Monday’s bomb blast in Abuja, calling on Muslims and Christians to unite in prayers.
Jingir, who spoke in Jos, said the spate of killings in different parts of northern Nigeria has become worrisome and urged Muslims to fast on Mondays and Thursdays.
“If it is true that there are people conspiring to destroy this country then we must unite and say no to them, and if they are public office holders, whether chairman, governor or president, they must be removed from office in order for the country to be in peace,” he said.
He urged government officials at all levels, religious and traditional leaders to be just and shun corruption.
