Buhari youth or­gan­i­sa­tion launched in Uyo

Na­tional Pres­i­dent of the Buhari Youths Or­ga­ni­za­tion (BYO), Prince Mo­hammed Umaru, yes­ter­day took a swipe at the po­lit­i­cal lead­er­ship of the coun­try, ac­cus­ing it of mort­gag­ing the fu­ture of the youths.

Umaru who spoke with our cor­re­spon­dent in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state shortly af­ter the in­au­gu­ra­tion of the Buhari Youths Or­ga­ni­za­tion (BYO) on Wed­nes­day, said Nige­rian youths have been im­pov­er­ished and left to suf­fer and this should not be al­lowed to con­tinue.

“Our youths have been left hope­less and job­less and our po­lit­i­cal lead­ers who are sup­pose to safe­guard our fu­ture are busy build­ing em­pires for them­selves. We can­not al­low this any­more, we must make the sac­ri­fice to­day to safe­guard to­mor­row, we must rise to­day to lib­er­ate the fu­ture’’

He said the Buhari Youth Or­gan­i­sa­tion is out to pro­mote the ide­olo­gies and virtues that Muham­madu Buhari stands for and to unite Nige­rian youths across the geo-po­lit­i­cal and re­li­gious di­vide in or­der to make the coun­try bet­ter.

The pres­i­dent charged the youths to take the gaunt­let and their des­tiny in their hands to­day in or­der to se­cure their to­mor­row.

“We came here with the mes­sage of peace to tell our youths that a time has come for us to come to­gether to sal­vage this coun­try, we must not al­low any other per­son di­vide us but must unite against in­jus­tice in the land’’

He ex­tolled the virtues of Gen. Muham­madu Buhari say­ing those who as­so­ciate him with bad things are not sin­cere.
