He said: “I only cared about my work. I just thought of making money instead of taking her to hospital for a medical checkup.”

Culled from mir A 22-year-old South Korean gamer has been charged over the death of his 2-year-old son, as he allegedly neglected to feed him while he spent days gaming at Internet cafes.

According to Naver News, the gamer from Daegu city, surnamed Chung, was arrested on Monday and is now charged for murder and neglect of his 2-year-old, allowing the toddler to starve to death.

Chung spent days and nights in Internet cafes playing League of Legends and Sudden Attack, returning home only once every two or three days to feed his child -- then going to yet another cafe.

His wife had been away as she got a job at a factory and had moved to the factory’s dormitory, leaving Chung to care for their child.

The couple had met via an online game during high school.

The gaming addict discovered his dead child on March 7, but had left the body at home till April 11 before he did anything about it.

CCTV footage shows Chung carrying a thrash bag believed to contain his son. He then disposed it in a garden nearby.

He lied to his wife that their son was at a babysitter’s when she asked about him.

At first, Chung reported the toddler missing, but later confessed to city police that he has disposed of the body.

Police working on the case are likely to charge Chung with homicide.
