Borno/Yobe group flays Nyanya bombing

Members of the Borno and Yobe States People’s Forum in Abuja have condemned the Nyanya Bomb blast on Monday in Abuja, describing it as barbaric.

The blast killed 75 people and injured more than 100 others.

In a statement signed by its secretary Ambassador B.K. Kaigama, the group urged security agencies to expedite their investigations, identify the culprits and bring them to book.

It also expressed its condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the blast and also sympathised with the families and friends of the injured.

The group further called on the people to cooperate fully with security personnel to help bring this menace to an end, and further urged all its members to go to the nearest blood collection center and donate blood as a token of solidarity with the survivors.
