Po­lice nab fe­male car snatcher in Kebbi

The Kebbi State Po­lice Com­mand has ap­pre­hended a sus­pected fe­male car snatcher and re­cov­ered a stolen CRV Honda with reg­is­tra­tion num­ber KJA 665BD .

The state Po­lice Pub­lic Re­la­tions Of­fi­cer (PPRO) Kabiru Rawayau, while parad­ing the sus­pects in Birnin Kebbi, said two per­sons; Es­ther Ezembi and Ab­dul­wa­hab Yusuf, were ar­rested at Mara­ban Yauri in Yauri Lo­cal Govern­ment Area of the state.

He said the ve­hi­cle was snatched at Area 11 in Abuja at gun point, adding: “The sus­pects were three in num­ber. The po­lice trailed and shot at their tires. One of the sus­pects es­caped into the bush leav­ing his ac­com­plices be­hind; a man and a woman’’.

Rawayau said in­ves­ti­ga­tion is on­go­ing to ar­rest the sus­pect that es­caped and warned crim­i­nals to steer clear of Kebbi.

He fur­ther called on the pub­lic to re­port any sus­pi­cious ac­tiv­ity to the po­lice, as­sur­ing that the iden­tity of an in­for­mant will never be dis­closed.
