A civil society organisation, the Center for Leadership and Citizens Awareness (CLCA), has condemned last week’s Abuja bomb blast and the abduction of over 100 school girls in Chibok, Borno State.

Addressing newsmen in Abuja yesterday, Director General of the center Dr. Nwambu Gabriel said it was unfortunate that the insurgent has preferred to attack “soft targets such as schools, places of worship, and crowded places amongst other places.”

He said the ultimate aim of the insurgents was to inflict fear amongst the people thereby causing mistrust, lack of confidence and consequently inciting populace against the government.

He called on the government to follow up on the funds made available to security agencies and ensure that they are appropriately utilized.
