NSCDC nabs car snatchers
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has burst a syndicate specialised in carjacking in Adamawa and Taraba states.
In a statement, spokesman for the Adamawa State Command of the NSCDC, Sulaiman Baba, said two suspects have been arrested. The suspects have provided useful information about their syndicate operations to the command after stolen cars were recovered from them, he added.
“The corps in collaboration with its Taraba State command of the said organisation succeeded in arresting Muhammad Gaddas, a 23-year-old who is the prime suspect on 4th April, 2014 and Atiku Ya’u, a 24-year-old in possession of Honda Accord with registration number JMT 657AE and chassis number 117035 at Jalingo in Taraba State,” Baba said.
The statement said investigation is going on and suspects would soon be arraigned in court.
