Obanikoro: New Minister of

Daily Trust - - VIEWS -

So, the Federal Government should close their eyes and allow the Lagos State Government to take over its land. Some of you writers just write with biases. Don’t forget that Lagos used to be the Federal Capital Territory and that the Federal Government has and still owns properties in Lagos. If Lagos State wants to build estate, there are lots of vast lands in Badagry, Ikotun-Egbe, Isheri-Idimu, Ikorodu. Please writer, tell the Lagos State Government to stay out of federal lands.

Enough is enough: Let’s work together to stop them killing our children

This is a most appropriate proposal in the dire situation we have found ourselves. But there is one big problem - most people here in the North, where the problems clearly emanate, do not believe that there is a religious insurgency of this magnitude in the first place. They insist that there is no “Boko Haram” and huddle at some conspiracy theories instead. You may not blame them, seeing the complications the matter has assumed; but what hope is there to mobilise the civil society against this drift to the abyss if the cause remains elusive in their eyes?
