You mean the people who saw the helicopters are hallucinating? Truly with the government’s track record of lying - like the recent claims of freeing the captured school girls, believing Obanikoro is a risk I am not willing to take.

Let him visit Borno, Yobe, parts of Adamawa and Bauchi and see the trauma vulnerable people are passing through. Most importantly, telling the world that the terrorists sneak in from Cameroon to ambush people is plausible. Is Sambisa Forest in Cameroon? Is it in Chad or in the moon? So the Nigerian Army does not have the capacity to penetrate the forest and contain the insurgents? Or in a lay man’s language, have the powers that be refused to deploy the requisite equipment to fight the insurgents who are in Sambisa and not in Cameroon? Locals see how the terrorists come out every day, unleash mayhem and go back. For over ten days, over 200 girls have been snatched into the forests and not a single one was rescued by security operatives...where else in this world can this impunity thrive? And someone is saying Nigeria has the capacity to contain terrorism. I am afraid one day, one of the banana republics surrounding Nigeria would annex a large part of the gi(ant) of Africa without any resistance. Shame on people who talk in the media without restraint, just because they are in position of authority.

The local people too are witnesses to what is happening. We cannot just dismiss it because the service chiefs say it is not possible. We thought it is not possible for the insurgents to pass through Army checkpoint with their vehicles but we now know it is possible because in Nigeria, all the impossibilities are now possible.
