NTTF seeks sponsorship for World Table Tennis tourney

Nigeria Table Tennis Federation (NTTF) yesterday appealed to corporate bodies and philanthropists to assist the federation to prepare players for the World Team Table Tennis Championships.

The event is to take place from April 28 to May 5 in Tokyo, Japan.

The NTTF Technical Director, Anderson Bankole, made the appeal in an interview in Lagos.

He said it was crucial for the players to participate in the championships because it would sharpen their skills.

“We are appealing to corporate bodies and wellmeaning Nigerians to help in building the young athletes. The championships are crucial as it will give us opportunity to participate in other international competitions with a formidable team. Our participation at the competition will enable us get ideas on athletes from other countries and will help us improve our talents.”
