Easter: 10 deaths recorded from road crashes in Kogi

The Federal Road Safety Com­mis­sion (FRSC) has said that ten people died from auto crashes which oc­curred across the state dur­ing the Easter pe­riod.

Kogi State Sec­tor Com­man­der of the FRSC, God­win Omiko, while ad­dress­ing jour­nal­ists, said the deaths were recorded from the 26 ac­ci­dents that oc­curred dur­ing the pe­riod.

He said a to­tal of 120 pas­sen­gers were in­volved in the ac­ci­dents, and that 10 died, 39 were in­jured while oth­ers es­caped un­hurt.

Omiko said the com­mand will do ev­ery­thing pos­si­ble to achieve the ob­jec­tive of the com­mis­sion to re­duce ac­ci­dents by 15 per cent.
