Bauchi PDP suspends LG chair, commissioner over anti-party activities
Bauchi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic (PDP) has suspended the Giade Local Government caretaker chairman, Alhaji Musa Mainari and the state commissioner of social welfare Alhaji Umaru Saleh, over what it termed “anti-party activities”.
The chairman, Disciplinary committee of the PDP in the local government, Alhaji Abubakar Bello Nawaila, while briefing newsmen yesterday in Bauchi, said the deputy chairman of the party, seven others and 12 party ward chairmen have also been suspended.
He however, refuted media reports that the PDP chairman in the local government, Alhaji Auwalu Adamu Maidoya has been sacked along with the Financial Secretary of the party, Alhaji Datti Dan Iya, describing it as baseless.
Alhaji Bello explained that his committee had written its findings through the PDP Giade LG working committee to the zonal office of the party following an allegation by some members against some executive members of the party in the state.
He also said the committee has written its findings to the executive committee and the zonal chairman of the party, intimating them of the anti party activities of some members which his committee was given the mandate to take disciplinary measures against.
