FCT min­is­ter wins award

FCT Min­is­ter Bala Mo­hammed was last Fri­day in Abuja given Life­time Achieve­ment Award by the Nige­rian Ur­ban De­vel­op­ment Awards 2014.

The or­ga­niz­ers said the award was pur­suant to the re­al­iza­tion of Nigeria’s dream for the Federal Cap­i­tal City un­der Mo­hammed.

The Di­rec­tor of Ur­ban and Re­gional Plan­ning, Federal Cap­i­tal De­vel­op­ment Author­ity (FCDA), Mr Shola Salami, who re­ceived the plaque for the min­is­ter, ac­knowl­edged that dif­fer­ent pro­fes­sion­als have con­trib­uted to the build­ing of the city.

Ur­ban De­vel­op­ment Awards is an in­dus­try recog­ni­tion pre­sented to or­ga­ni­za­tions and in­di­vid­u­als that have made mo­men­tous con­tri­bu­tions in des­ig­nated sec­tors of the Nige­rian real es­tate sec­tors.

In a re­lated de­vel­op­ment, coali­tion of civil so­ci­ety or­ga­ni­za­tions un­der the aegis of Coali­tion of Civil So­ci­ety for Trans­parency in Gov­er­nance have lauded the per­for­mance of the FCT min­is­ter.

The Ex­ec­u­tive Di­rec­tor of the coali­tion, Com­rade Agbese Philip who praised the trans­par­ent ini­tia­tives of the min­is­ter dur­ing the coal;itions round­table on Trans­for­ma­tion Agenda yes­ter­day in Abuja said the meet­ing x-rayed the per­for­mance of Pres­i­dent Good­luck Jonathan ad­min­is­tra­tion in the var­i­ous sec­tors of the econ­omy.
