Rotary Club takes health campaigns to Gwarinpa
Members of the Rotary Club of Abuja (RCA) in Gwarinpa area of the Federal Capital Territory at the weekend took its health campaigns to residents of the area in their bid to promote healthy living conditions among them.
The Club said embarking on free health services and other humanitarian gestures are the platforms on which it was founded to bring help to the masses.
In this segment, the Gwarinpa Rotary Club donated treated mosquito nets to households in the Gwarinpa neighbourhoods while tutoring them on how to maintain them for lasting effects across its District 9125.
The club further conducted HIV/AIDs screening among other medical services as part of the Rotarians for Family Health and AIDS Prevention exercise in Abuja.
The President, Mr. Jerry Haruna, at a similar vent recently, had said these gestures were part of what the Rotary Club stands for, to put smiles on the faces of the less privileged.
Rotary Club of Abuja, Gwarinpa was conceived in January 2007 by the Rotary Club of Wuse Central under the standard provisions of rotary constitution and by-laws, and inaugurated later in February of the same year.
