Ro­tary Club takes health cam­paigns to Gwar­inpa

Mem­bers of the Ro­tary Club of Abuja (RCA) in Gwar­inpa area of the Federal Cap­i­tal Ter­ri­tory at the weekend took its health cam­paigns to res­i­dents of the area in their bid to pro­mote healthy liv­ing con­di­tions among them.

The Club said em­bark­ing on free health ser­vices and other hu­man­i­tar­ian ges­tures are the plat­forms on which it was founded to bring help to the masses.

In this seg­ment, the Gwar­inpa Ro­tary Club do­nated treated mos­quito nets to house­holds in the Gwar­inpa neigh­bour­hoods while tu­tor­ing them on how to main­tain them for last­ing ef­fects across its District 9125.

The club fur­ther con­ducted HIV/AIDs screen­ing among other med­i­cal ser­vices as part of the Ro­tar­i­ans for Fam­ily Health and AIDS Preven­tion ex­er­cise in Abuja.

The Pres­i­dent, Mr. Jerry Haruna, at a sim­i­lar vent re­cently, had said these ges­tures were part of what the Ro­tary Club stands for, to put smiles on the faces of the less priv­i­leged.

Ro­tary Club of Abuja, Gwar­inpa was con­ceived in Jan­uary 2007 by the Ro­tary Club of Wuse Cen­tral un­der the stan­dard pro­vi­sions of ro­tary con­sti­tu­tion and by-laws, and in­au­gu­rated later in Fe­bru­ary of the same year.
