The FCT Council of Imams and the Muslim Stakeholders’ Forum has urged the government and citizenry to do more for the victims of the Nyanya bomb blast, especially the injured still at the hospitals.

The FCT imams’ delegation led by the Chief Imam of Apo Legislative Quarters, Imam Nura Khalid, made the appeal at the weekend when they visited the victims of the blast at Maitama and Wuse General Hospitals, as well as Asokoro and National Hospitals to sympathise with the recuperating victims on behalf of FCT Muslim community, saying they were on the visit to commiserate with the victims of the bomb blast and condemn the incident.

“We thank Almighty Allah for sparing the lives of those who are alive; we encourage them to be steadfast in their faith. We are all one in Nigeria, be it Christian or Muslim, and we also appreciate the federal government for looking into the situation,” Khalid said.

The forum gave the victims of the blast various gifts and cash while Imam Idris Shu’aibu prayed for the victims’ quick recovery and asked Allah to heal them and bring peace and unity to the country.

Hajiya Muhsinat Yusuf, who spoke on behalf of the Muslim sisters, emphasized that the Nyanya bomb blast was shocking and painful and urged the victims to put their trust in Allah.
