New mobile phones enter Kano market

Sunway Mobile Company, an indigenous mobile phone company, in conjunction with Globacom Telecommunication Company, launched two new MBO mobile phones in Kano.

Speaking during the launching ceremony held at Grand Central Hotel Kano, Monday, Chairman of Sunway Alhaji Uba Leader, stated that in view of the current economic status of the nation, the need for an indigenous mobile phone company cannot be under estimated.

According to him, Sunway would soon launch its products in other states.

He said: “For months we have been shuffling between Kano, Abuja and Lagos for the actualisation of this company and today we are here in Kano State to launch two newly introduced products. We hope to launch same in other places in Nigeria very soon.”

Explaining the facilities and other special offers attached to Sunway MBO phones, Deputy Managing Director of Sunway Mobile Company, Mr. Fred Nwobodo, stated that MBO E2202 came with 200% bonus on recharge and 100% weekly usage bonus.

He said the second phone, MBO 8160, with Android facilities, came with 200% bonus, 200 MB and 25 free SMS on recharge of N1, 000.
