Hajj: 2 Kebbi pilgrims missing
The Acting Chairman, Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Mohammed Umar Tilli, yesterday said two pilgrims from the state were still not accounted for after the Jamarat stampede in Mina, Saudi Arabia.
Tilli, while speaking to our correspondent in Makkah, said among the four earlier missing, a female pilgrim, Hajiya Maryam Sambawa from Maiyama LGA, was found receiving treatment at a hospital in Jedda.
“The two pilgrims who are yet to be found are Mohammed Jannare and Umar Usman Bello, both from Bunza LGA”, he said.
He added that the Amirul Hajj and Emir of Argungu, Samaila Mera and the state deputy governor, Samaila Dabai Yombe, gave hajj guards till yesterday to account for the two missing pilgrims.
