Hajj: 2 Kebbi pil­grims miss­ing

The Act­ing Chair­man, Kebbi State Pil­grims Wel­fare Board, Al­haji Mo­hammed Umar Tilli, yesterday said two pil­grims from the state were still not ac­counted for af­ter the Ja­ma­rat stam­pede in Mina, Saudi Ara­bia.

Tilli, while speak­ing to our cor­re­spon­dent in Makkah, said among the four ear­lier miss­ing, a fe­male pil­grim, Ha­jiya Maryam Sam­bawa from Maiyama LGA, was found re­ceiv­ing treat­ment at a hos­pi­tal in Jedda.

“The two pil­grims who are yet to be found are Mo­hammed Jannare and Umar Us­man Bello, both from Bunza LGA”, he said.

He added that the Amirul Hajj and Emir of Ar­gungu, Sa­maila Mera and the state deputy gover­nor, Sa­maila Dabai Yombe, gave hajj guards till yesterday to ac­count for the two miss­ing pil­grims.
