NPAN mourns Dideolu Awolowo’s death

The News­pa­pers Pro­pri­etors As­so­ci­a­tion of Nige­ria (NPAN) has con­doled the fam­ily of the Premier of the de­funct Western Re­gion, Chief Obafemi Awolowo over the demise of Yeye Han­nah Idowu Dideolu Awolowo last week.

The as­so­ci­a­tion, who said the death of the ma­tri­arch of the Awolowo fam­ily was a per­sonal loss to them and re­called the ap­pre­cia­ble lead­er­ship of the de­ceased in the African News­pa­pers of Nige­ria Plc., Pub­lisher of the Tri­bune ti­tles.

NPAN said in a state­ment signed by Dame Com­fort Obi that late Mrs Awolowo proved to be a pro­tec­tive shield even in times of pains to the nu­clear and larger Awolowo fam­ily.

As one of the mem­ber of the as­so­ci­a­tion, NPAN said, the Tri­bune ti­tles has con­tin­ued to grow in leaps and bounds, 28 years af­ter the death of Chief Obafemi Awolowo, due to the lead­er­ship of late Idowu Dide­olo Awolowo.
