NPAN mourns Dideolu Awolowo’s death
The Newspapers Proprietors Association of Nigeria (NPAN) has condoled the family of the Premier of the defunct Western Region, Chief Obafemi Awolowo over the demise of Yeye Hannah Idowu Dideolu Awolowo last week.
The association, who said the death of the matriarch of the Awolowo family was a personal loss to them and recalled the appreciable leadership of the deceased in the African Newspapers of Nigeria Plc., Publisher of the Tribune titles.
NPAN said in a statement signed by Dame Comfort Obi that late Mrs Awolowo proved to be a protective shield even in times of pains to the nuclear and larger Awolowo family.
As one of the member of the association, NPAN said, the Tribune titles has continued to grow in leaps and bounds, 28 years after the death of Chief Obafemi Awolowo, due to the leadership of late Idowu Dideolo Awolowo.
