Anti-Graft War: FG urged to respect human right
The Bauchi State publicity secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Alhaji Bashir Bukar Rimin Zayam has advised the Federal Government to respect human rights in its drive towards recovery of stolen property from government officials.
He said there was nothing wrong in retrieving what belong to Nigerians through legal means as enshrined in the laws of the country.
He stated this in Bauchi yesterday, while answering questions from journalists on Buhari administration’s effort to fight corruption.
Zayam however cautioned that while the government should recover money and everything and thereafter punish the corrupt officials, its anti-corruption agencies must not violate the fundamental human rights of the people.
He commended the Federal Government on its effort in fighting insurgency and corruption, and advised Nigerians to support laudable initiative of government.
