Daily Trust - - INSIDE POLITICS - From Itodo Daniel Sule, Lokoja

Gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, Prince Abubakar Audu, yesterday, commenced his campaign at Anyigba, the heartland of Igaland.

Audu and his deputy, Rep Abiodun Faleke, who left Ogbonicha in Ofu Local Government Area around 12:30pm, could not reach Anyigba until around 5:00pm.

At the venue of the occasion, Audu told the mammoth crowd that he was on a rescue mission to save the state from collapse.

He said he felt honoured by the reception accorded him, stressing that he will touch their lives in many ways, more than what he did during his first stint.

“From the unprecedented crowd that turns out today, it’s an indication that Kogi is an APC state and come November 21, our great party will, by the grace of God, win the election.

“I appeal to you to always support the government of President Muhammadu Buhari, the man is God sent, he mean well for the country, and he will not disappoint Nigerians. Let us continue to pray for him.”
