Daily Trust - - FRONT PAGE - From Johnkennedy Uzoma, Owerri

Following the routing of Boko Haram militants by the military in the Northeast, Nigerians have been advised to be at alert on possible infiltration of other parts of the country by fleeing members of the sect.

The Deputy Commandant, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC) in Imo State, Mr. Atunde Ade Michael, gave the advice at a workshop on ‘‘Promoting National Unity and Security Awareness at Independence’’ organized by the National Orientation Agency in Owerri yesterday.

He said their dislodgement was forcing some of them to other parts of the country and warned Nigerians against keeping late nights, noting that the highest percentage of crimes are committed at night.

He advised participants to ensure that they know the identities of their neighbours.

Earlier in his address, the Director, National Orientation Agency in Imo State, Mr. Vitus Ekeocha, urged agencies to take measures to protect the environment and citizens.
