300 youths benefit from malaria awareness programme
Over 300 youths from 10 secondary schools in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have benefited from a malaria awareness programme aimed at educating them on the disease impend on their development.
The Country Director, Africare, Dr. Orode Doherty disclosed this in Abuja at the Power Forward (Malaria Awareness Programme) programme for FCT youths sponsored by ExxonMobil malaria initiative Nigeria (NMA).
She said the organisation since inception has been committed to organizing programmes targeted towards health, youths, HIV AIDS and malaria.
According to her, the programme was conceived initially to focus on young boys and girls using basketball as a convenient platform for bringing them together to learn about health literacy.
