Gov Bello is on course-APC stalwart

Daily Trust - - INSIDE POLITICS - From Ahmed Tahir Ajobe, Minna

An All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Niger State, Malam Nma Kolo, has commended Governor Abubakar Sani Bello for his “careful and diligent approach” to governance in the state.

The former director general of youth mobilization in the state berated the opposition for scoring the administration low during the 100 days celebration, describing the position by some people that the governor was not prepared for office as “uncharitable.”

“Governor Abubakar Bello should rather be commended for the painstaking approach that he has brought into the governance in Niger State, instead of being vilified by the opposition,” he said.

He said the administration had taken some commendable steps toward laying solid foundations that would propel development when the cabinet is finally in place.

“The restructuring of ministries for instance is a significance step in reducing the cost of governance and making the civil service effective.

“In the area of agriculture, he has put in place modalities that would create jobs, enhance rural living, employ youths and raise the profile of crops that Niger State has comparative advantages. You would note that these efforts are devoid of funfair and the projects are not esoteric but real economic packages aimed at the people,” he noted.
