Okada riders lynch passenger over N10 at Mpape
A middle-aged man was lynched on Tuesday by a group of commercial motorcyclists in Mpape, a satellite town of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
City News gathered that the deceased was lynched following a disagreement between him and a commercial motorcyclist over a N10.00 balance.
The source said the cyclist had carried him from his house to somewhere without proper negotiation which later resulted in the sharp disagreement.
It said trouble ensued when the man gave the cyclist money and demanded for his balance, but the cyclist refused, insisting that he was not owing him any balance.
“They first started with exchange of words before the fight which attracted other riders who suddenly joined in beating the man without finding out what went wrong,” it added.
City News, however, learnt that the victim sustained cuts all over his body after being attacked by the motorcyclists who abandoned him in an unconscious state.
The source further said he was later rushed to the Kubwa General Hospital for medical attention but died on the way.
The Head, Accident and Emergency Unit, Paul Olise said the deceased was brought-in-dead to the hospital, adding that the corpse had been deposited at the mortuary.
