Po­lice­man’s corpse found at Kubwa

The corpse of a per­son sus­pected to be a mo­bile po­lice of­fi­cer was re­cently found ly­ing in a gut­ter along Abuja-Kubwa ex­press­way.

An eye wit­ness told our re­porter that the passer-by alerted the po­lice who im­me­di­ately came to the scene and evac­u­ated the body to the Kubwa Gen­eral Hos­pi­tal mor­tu­ary.

The Kubwa Di­vi­sional Po­lice Of­fi­cer, Chief Su­per­in­ten­dent Nur­rudeen Sabo, con­firmed the in­ci­dent, de­scrib­ing it as un­for­tu­nate.

Sim­i­larly, a man was also found dead in a nearby bush in Gwagwa, Abuja Mu­nic­i­pal Area Coun­cil (AMAC) of the FCT.

The de­ceased, sus­pected to be a cultist, learnt, was killed fol­low­ing a clash be­tween his group and another ri­val cult.

The source said the de­ceased who was found with cuts all over his body, was dis­cov­ered later by the po­lice, who rushed him to the hos­pi­tal where he was cer­ti­fied dead.

Con­firm­ing the in­ci­dent, the Gwagwa Di­vi­sional Po­lice Of­fi­cer, Elechi Raphael Ikem, said the corpse had been de­posited at the Kubwa Gen­eral Hos­pi­tal morgue.
