Policeman’s corpse found at Kubwa
The corpse of a person suspected to be a mobile police officer was recently found lying in a gutter along Abuja-Kubwa expressway.
gathered that the deceased, suspected to have been a victim of a ‘one-chance’ gang was discovered by a passer-by around the Kubwa third gate junction.
An eye witness told our reporter that the passer-by alerted the police who immediately came to the scene and evacuated the body to the Kubwa General Hospital mortuary.
The Kubwa Divisional Police Officer, Chief Superintendent Nurrudeen Sabo, confirmed the incident, describing it as unfortunate.
Similarly, a man was also found dead in a nearby bush in Gwagwa, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) of the FCT.
The deceased, suspected to be a cultist, learnt, was killed following a clash between his group and another rival cult.
The source said the deceased who was found with cuts all over his body, was discovered later by the police, who rushed him to the hospital where he was certified dead.
Confirming the incident, the Gwagwa Divisional Police Officer, Elechi Raphael Ikem, said the corpse had been deposited at the Kubwa General Hospital morgue.
