Southern Kaduna pledges support for Buhari, El-Rufai

Daily Trust - - NEWS - From Dickson S. Adama, Kaduna

The Chawai community in Kauru LGA of Kaduna State has commended the ongoing fight against corruption and terrorism, saying the people of the Southern Senatorial District of the state were willing to support President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s policies.

Speaking after his election as the National President of the Chawai Development Association in Kaduna at the weekend, Pastor Reuben Luka Turbi said both Buhari and El-Rufai’s policies were committed to socioeconomic growth.

“I promise to work with the Kaduna State government towards developing Chawai land because so far the pace of development of the area is very slow. In this regard, we shall map out strategies to improve education, healthcare, business environment and other social amenities. That is why I am particularly going to canvass support from Southern Kaduna for President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Nasir ElRufai’s policies because they are geared towards socio-economic growth.

“For instance, President Buhari has done much in the areas of security and fighting corruption in Nigeria. Insurgent activities have also become weaker and they are waxing cold. In the case of Governor Nasir El-Rufai, he is also doing great and we are particularly impressed with his decision to introduce free primary and secondary education in the state. These men will surely bring genuine change at both national and state level and it is imperative to support their policies,” Pastor Turbi said.
