ITF pro­motes 629 staff

The In­dus­trial Train­ing Fund (ITF) pro­moted 629 staff who scaled through the 2015 pro­mo­tion ex­er­cise, Mrs. Ifeoma Ihezue, Head of Public Af­fairs, said at the week­end in Jos, Plateau State.

A state­ment by the spokesper­son said 32 of the staff were el­e­vated hav­ing ac­quired ad­di­tional cer­tifi­cates.

Twelve per­sons were pro­moted from the rank of As­sis­tant Di­rec­tor to Deputy Di­rec­tor, and 43 from the rank of Chief to As­sis­tant Di­rec­tor.

The state­ment quoted Di­rec­tor Gen­eral of the Fund, Ms. Juliet Chukkas-Onaeko, as task­ing the pro­moted of­fi­cers to en­sure they use their new of­fices for the growth of the fund.

She urged them to en­sure to­tal com­mit­ment and ded­i­ca­tion to duty for op­ti­mal pro­duc­tiv­ity and goals at­tain­ment.

‘‘ITF has be­come more rel­e­vant to the growth of the na­tional econ­omy, par­tic­u­larly in the area of train­ing for job cre­ation. So, for our cor­po­rate goals to be achieved, staff must be com­mit­ted’’, she said.

She promised to pro­vide an en­abling work­ing en­vi­ron­ment for staff to ef­fec­tively dis­charge their du­ties.
