RFI Hausa loses staff in car ac­ci­dent

The Hausa ser­vice of the Ra­dio France In­ter­na­tional (RFI) has lost one of its staff, Nasirud­deen Muhammed af­ter a head-on col­li­sion ac­ci­dent along Ak­wanga road in Nasarawa State.

The late Muhammed, who was re­turn­ing to La­gos af­ter com­plet­ing his an­nual leave, was the pre­sen­ter of the pop­u­lar eco­nomic pro­gram, “Ka­suwa Akai miki Dole”, which chron­i­cles the eco­nomic ac­tiv­i­ties both lo­cally and in­ter­na­tion­ally.

Born on Septem­ber 12, 1978, late Muhammed was a grad­u­ate of Bayero Univer­sity, Kano where he bagged his BA De­gree in Mass Com­mu­ni­ca­tion and started his jour­nal­ism ca­reer with Vi­sion FM Abuja as a Broad­cast Jour­nal­ist be­fore he later joined RFI Hausa in 2012.

The late Muhammed died in the ac­ci­dent along­side one of his sons, while his wife and another son in the same ve­hi­cle sus­tained frac­tures, ac­cord­ing to a state­ment by RFI Hausa.
