Buhari will get our support – Rep

Daily Trust - - INSIDE POLITICS - From Kehinde Akinyemi, Abeokuta

A member of the House of Representatives from Ogun State, Mr Micky Kazim, has said that President Muhammadu Buhari will continue to receive the support of the lower legislative chamber of the National Assembly. Mr Kazim said this when joined Governor Ibikunle

he Amosun and other elected National Assembly members from the state on an independent anniversary homage visit to former President Olusegun Obasanjo in Abeokuta.

The member, representing Abeokuta North, Odeda and Obafemi Owode federal constituencies, said the House was set to discharge its constitutional responsibilities, having put behind them the crisis which occurred at the initial stage of the 8th legislature.

“Things are getting better now in the country’s House of Representatives, of which I am a member. We are looking for the best in this legislature. So far, so good, we are getting there. We are not yet there. But there are pointers to the fact that we are getting there. We are where I can say is the auto-pilot stage now.

“The crisis notwithstanding, the president is getting our maximum support and cooperation. Mind you, we still have the same aims and objectives. The method in achieving it may be different, but the ultimate is the same - to function as one family and provide necessary support to the executive where it is needed,” he added.
