Leader of the Senate, Ali Ndume yesterday told his colleagues to be vigilant, saying the National Assembly is being infiltrated daily.

Contributing to a motion sponsored by Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda (PDP, FCT) on the bomb explosions that rocked Abuja on Friday, he said despite tight security put in place, the National Assembly is being infiltrated daily.

“This is a wake-up call to security agencies and to all of us. We have to be alert and vigilant. Even here at the National Assembly we have to be more vigilant because even with the security, there is serious infiltration in the NASS,” he said.

In passing resolution on the motion, the Senate condemned the Abuja bomb blasts and called on the Federal government to support the victims and the families of those that lost their lives.

Speaking on the motion, the Senate President, Bukola Saraki said they would give the required support to security agencies in the fight against insurgency.

“We must do our part at the Senate to continue to give the maximum support to security agencies for them to succeed in the fight against insurgency, “he said.
