...Meeting with Buhari not about my trial –Saraki

Senate President Bukola Saraki says meeting by President Muhammadu Buhari and the leadership of the National Assembly was on how to ensure the executive works in the interest of Nigeria.

Saraki was addressing State House correspondents Wednesday night after the meeting which was held behind closed doors at the First Lady’s Conference Hall of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja.

He noted that the meeting was an initiative of the president for an interaction with the leadership of the National Assembly, saying it was a very useful session being the first one.

According to the Senate president, this kind of interaction helps in ensuring smooth relationship between the two arms of government.
