Daily Trust - - INSIDE POLITICS - From Itodo Daniel Sule, Lokoja

A group, National Coalition of Ebira/ Okun/Lokoja-Koto Youth yesterday adopted the PDP gubernatorial flag bearer, Idris Wada, as its consensus candidate for the November 21 governorship election in Kogi State.

Co-ordinator of the group, Zacchaeus Dare Michael, said the coalition, which is made up of youth from across 12 LGAs of the state, decided to adopt Wada after due consultations and in recognition of his track record of performance in the state.

“We have taken our time to look at all the candidates contesting the governorship election, their antecedents, their conduct in public and private life, the manifestos of their parties and their programmes, all have been subjected to thorough screening. All stakeholders and opinion leaders we contacted were also unanimous in their preference for the incumbent governor, Capt. Idris Wada and his deputy, Yomi Awoniyi,” the group said.
