Farmer loses motorcycle to robbers in Abuja suburb
A 46-year-old farmer, Josiah Musa, at the weekend lost his motorcycle to two suspected snatchers near Dadu village, Kwali Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
the community who preferred anonymity said the incident happened around 3:47 pm on Friday when the farmer was returning from his farm and some suspected motorcycle snatchers emerged from the bush and attacked him.
He said the suspects used a stick to hit the farmer on the head and when he (farmer) fell down, they escaped with the motorcycle.
“It was even a woman returning from the farm that saw two men on a motorcycle and some few metres away she saw the farmer lying by the road side, with his face swollen,” he said.
According to him, family members of the victim mobilized to the scene to convey him to a clinic at neighbouring Ijah village for treatment.
Some residents, who spoke with our reporter complained of incessant motorcycle snatching in the area.
When contacted, the Kwali Divisional Crime Officer (DCO) Yaukubu Mohammed, said he was not aware of the incident, saying nobody came to report the incident at the police station.
