An Islamic cleric, Ustaz Shefiu Badmus, has urged couples to be sincere in their dealings with each other and respect their individual rights in order to achieve a peaceful home.

The cleric gave the advice at a “Couples Get-Together” organised by Organisation of Tadhamunul Muslimeen (OTM), FCT Branch with the theme: “Towards Achieving Homes of Love and Mercy.” Mr Badmus said the major problem children face mostly originates from lack of cordial relationship between their parents. “Many vices that are being perpetrated today in our society starts from the home. The family must be good if we are to have a good society,” he said.

The cleric also called on ‘wealthy’ women to be wary of arrogance, urging them to worship the creator through submission to their husbands.
