Aformer acting national secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Musa Babayo, has declined membership of the party’s campaign committee for the November 21 governorship election in Kogi State.

Speaking in a telephone interview with our correspondent yesterday, Dr Babayo, who noted that his name had been published as a member of the campaign committee for the election, said he would not participate in the process.

He said he would prefer to be excused from the campaign team which would be inaugurated very soon because he was examining his membership of the PDP.

“I declined my nomination to serve on the committee because I am currently reviewing my membership of the PDP,” he said.

Last week, the PDP raised campaign committees for Kogi and Bayelsa governorship elections slated for November 21 and December 5 respectively.
