Daily Trust - - INSIDE POLITICS - By Ismail Mudashir

Senator Abdulsalami Ohiare of Kogi Central Senatorial District has said that nobody can steal his mandate.

Senator Ohiare, whose election was upheld by the National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Lokoja on Monday, said the judiciary had reaffirmed that the good people of Kogi Central freely and voted for him.

“When as a young civil servant in the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) I was victimized and dismissed for being bold enough to expose my superiors of corrupt practices, I sought redress by suing the then government and the judiciary stood by me and reinstated me back to work - This was under a

overwhelmingly military administration.

“I want to use this opportunity to thank my teeming supporters and numerous admirers for their steadfastness during the trial, and magnanimously call on my opponents to join hands with me to move our dear senatorial district to the next positive level, Mr Ohiare was quoted in a statement by his media aide, Mr Mohammed Sadiq.
