Commission, firm to fight sale of fake drugs to nomads
The National Commission for Nomadic Education (NCNE) in collaboration with Turner Wright Limited, have agreed to fight against sale of fake and adulterated veterinary drugs to nomads in the country.
This is contained in a press statement signed by the Chief Information Officer of the Commission, Fidelis Ugochukwu Idoko and made available to Daily Trust in Abuja yesterday.
According to the statement, Executive Secretary, Prof Rashid Aderinoye of the commission said that through its FRCN, Kaduna radio programme “Don Makiyaya a Ruga” and face-to-face campaigns, NCNE has been able to sensitize the nomads on the use of drugs and how to source genuine drugs.
He expressed the determination of the Commission to introduce any company to their target groups that would serve them with genuine drugs.
Managing Director, Turner Wright Limited, Dr Tunde Lawal, reaffirmed the commitment of his company to ensure that genuine drugs were made available to the nomads.
He expressed determination to work with the Commission so as to save the nomads from the menace of fake drug vendors.
