Be just to Amaechi, APC chieftain tells senators

Daily Trust - - INSIDE POLITICS - By Muideen Olaniyi

A Board of Trustees (BoT) member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Sam Nkire, has lauded the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senators for cooperating with the APC senators in the confirmation of some of the ministerial mominees sent by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The APC chieftain urged the National Assembly to ensure that justice was done to all nominees, including former governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State.

The Abia State born politician said the PDP as a party had so far shown maturity and responsibility in the way it handled the process of ministerial screening.

He, however, chided the PDP for mourning its defeat in the last presidential election for too long, rather than going back to the drawing board.

Chief Nkire said instead of apologising to Nigerians for not keeping their promises in the last sixteen years, the PDP leaders were instead blaming one another for not hanging onto power after losing the presidential election.

The APC chieftain added that it was sad to note that the PDP family was not blaming its failure at the polls on its inability to deliver on promises.
