Members of the Rotary Club of Karu on Saturday offered free medical services to pregnant women, nursing mothers, children and elderly persons at Orozo Health Centre in Abuja.

The patients were examined by a Rotarian, who is a medical doctor, while pharmacists among the group dispensed prescribed drugs to them.

Other members assisted in the distribution of birthing kits, mosquito treated nets, sanitary pads and sanitary towels, among others.

President of the club, Barrister Nnaemeka Ejiofor, told the residents that the club members were out to ensure they stayed healthy.

He said the club’s focus is mainly to provide service to humanity and assured them that the gesture will spread to other surrounding communities, such as Nyanya and Mararaba.
