Suspected robber survives lynching
A Twenty-six year-old man, who was on his way to Dutse from Kubwa in Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) was lynched by angry commercial motorcyclists but survived with cuts on his body.
The victim, simply identified as Emeka, suspected to be on a robbery mission in the area, was on a motorcycle with his accomplice around 10pm when he was attacked.
City News learnt that he was attacked by the ‘okada riders’ with all kinds of weapons and abandoned with several cuts, while his accomplice escaped, a source said.
The source said he was later rescued by a police patrol team which rushed him to the Kubwa General hospital for treatment
The Dutse Divisional Police Officer, SP Hajiya Aisha Yusuf, confirmed the incident, saying he was undergoing treatment and would soon be charged to court.
