Kano govt pro­cures over N100m med­i­cal equip­ment for hos­pi­tals

The Kano State gov­ern­ment has pro­cured med­i­cal equip­ment, fur­ni­ture and other con­sum­ables worth over 100 mil­lion naira to be dis­trib­uted to some se­lected fa­cil­i­ties in the state as part of ef­forts to re­vamp the health sec­tor in the state.

The Com­mis­sioner for Health Dr kabir Ibrahim Getso stated this while in­spect­ing the con­sign­ment at the state’s med­i­cal store. He said when the equip­ment are in­stalled at the se­lected fa­cil­i­ties, it would re­duce most of the prob­lems faced by pa­tients es­pe­cially dur­ing op­er­a­tions or de­liv­ery.

The equip­ment in­clude op­er­a­tion ta­bles, de­liv­ery beds, scan­ning ma­chines, ul­tra­sonic neb­u­lizer, car­dio mon­i­tor and other med­i­cal con­sum­ables.
