Buhari needs two years to conceptualize his programmes - Galadima

Daily Trust - - INSIDE POLITICS - From Abdullateef Aliyu, Lagos

National Chairman of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN), Alhaji Ganiyu Galadima has appealed to Nigerians to give President Muhammadu Buhari adequate time to conceptualize his programmes.

Galadima said it was irrational for anybody to start criticising the president who barely spent five months in the saddle.

Speaking with Daily Trust yesterday, Galadima, who was also the presidential candidate of the ACPN in the last election noted that the president required at least two years to conceptualize his programmes.

According to him, those castigating the present administration are not being fair to the president.

He said Nigerians must appreciate the fact that Buhari was yet to prepare his own budget, stressing that once the ministers come on board, positive programmes would be unveiled.

“People started criticising him without giving him any time to do something. To me, it is baseless. If anybody wants to criticise a government, let him start after two or three years,” he said.
