President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration offers the last chance for Nigeria’s industrialization and development and he must act to revive the economy, the General Secretary, National Union of Textiles, Garment and Tailoring Workers Of Nigeria (NUTGTWN), Comrade Issa Aremu, said yesterday.

Aremu who spoke at the 3RD International Conference and award of Fellowship of Association of Textiles Technologists of Nigeria in Kaduna yesterday said the incoming ministers must help to realize Buhari’s three-point agenda namely; anti-corruption, security and economy.

“So far, he has done well halting criminal theft of the commonwealth through corruption. The EFCC and Code of Conduct Bureau in particular have been active enforcing accountability. Beyond these anti-corruption agencies, Nigerians will watch with keen interest the performance of the incoming Ministers of Power and Industry, transport, and Agriculture. President Buhari in the next few months will be judged on account of how new industries are established in the country and how they protect the existing ones from total collapse,” he said.
