TNFI commends military on counter-insurgency
A non-governmental organization, Think Nigeria First Initiative (TNFI) has commended the military on its counterinsurgency operations. In a statement issued in Abuja at the weekend, TNFI said it was encouraged by the successes being recorded by the military in its fight against the terrorist group Boko Haram.
The statement, which was signed by the Director General of TNFI, Abubakar Tsanni, especially commended the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, for boosting the morale of soldiers by being personally present in the theatre of operations. TNFI noted that since the movement of the Army Headquarters to Maiduguri, Boko Haram had been at the receiving end of the war against insurgency.
In the same vein, TNFI in its statement also commended the Chief of Air Staff, Sadique Abubakar, for leading the Air Force to substantially degrade the capability of Boko Haram to move about freely in Toyota Hilux pickups terrorizing villages and killing innocent Nigerians.
The Director General TNFI, Abubakar Tsanni, further stated that the NGO is a non-political, non-religious, and non-regional movement dedicated to propagating the idea of putting Nigeria first and always in all things. He called on all Nigerians to give maximum support to the military in its fight to rid the country of the menace of Boko Haram.
