Daily Trust agric confab begins today
For two days- beginning today and tomorrow, farmers, policy makers, agribusiness men and women, farmers’ associations and other relevant stakeholders would converge for the 1st Daily Trust agric conference and exhibition.
They are expected to x-ray the relevance of agriculture, which the nation used to drive the economy from 1914 when the country became an entity up to late 60s after the country discovered oil in 1959.
The conference will lead frank discussions on where we are coming from in terms of agriculture, where we are going as a nation and how to get there as a people.
The forum will afford many experts and notable farmers as well as captains of industries to discuss the theme: “How Agribusiness can Sustain Nigeria’s Economy.”
Notable personalities to grace the occasion are Senator Abdullahi Adamu, Minister-designate and foremost farmer, Audu Ogbeh, Dr. Oba Otudeko, Chairman Honeywell Group Plc, states governors and other relevant stakeholders.
Former Head of State and Chairman, Maizube Farms retired General Abdulsalami Abubakar will be distinguished Guest of Honour while Arc. Sonny Echono, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will co-host the occasion.
