The Gbagyi people all over the country have been advised to increase their political bargaining before politicking begins.

The call was made by Professor Andrew Zamani of the Nasarawa State University, at the Kaduna History Conference, organized by the Gbagyi Development Union (GDU).

He said the Gbagyi people should also increase their constructive engagement with government at all levels.

In his paper titled “Historical Development in Central Nigeria and its Implications For the Gbagyi People,” Professor Zamani also enjoined them to see their traditional institutions as sacred and resist domination by any group.

“Gbagyi people have contributed tremendously to building the Nigerian nation in many ways and have made good strides in national development efforts,” he said.
