The Fed­eral Gov­ern­ment has de­clared Tues­day, July 5 and Wed­nes­day, July 6 pub­lic hol­i­days to mark the Mus­lim fes­ti­val of Eidel Fitri.

The Min­is­ter of In­te­rior, re­tired Lt. Gen. Ab­dul­rah­man Dam­bazau who made the dec­la­ra­tion on be­half of the fed­eral gov­ern­ment yes­ter­day, en­joined the Mus­lim faith­ful and all Nige­ri­ans to ex­tend the spir­i­tual ben­e­fits of the Ra­madan to their daily lives and con­trib­ute to the de­vel­op­ment of the coun­try.

Dam­bazau urged all Nige­ri­ans to use the op­por­tu­nity to re­flect on the im­per­a­tive of unity and peace­ful co-ex­is­tence in strength­en­ing the bond of to­geth­er­ness for a strong and vir­ile Nige­ria.
