Sustain teaching of Ramadan, JNI urges Muslims
The Jama’atu Nasril Islam ( JNI) has felicitated with Muslims on Eid-el-Fitr, calling on them to sustain the teaching of the holy month of Ramadan.
The JNI, in a statement signed by the SecretaryGeneral, Dr. Khalid Abubakar Aliyu, stressed that the inherent lessons embedded in fasting such as faith, sincerity, sacrifice, humility, compassion, giving, piety and commitment be sustained for the good of mankind.
The JNI stated, “By Allah’s grace, Tuesday, 5th July, 2016 or Wednesday, 6th July, 2016 shall mark the end of Ramadan fasting and to celebrate Eidel-Fitr, in the light of which we use this medium to once again thank Allah, the Most High, for sparing our lives to have observed the Ramadan fasting.
“Nonetheless, this shows that time is transient and that everything is temporary. Noting our actions and inactions, we shall all be held accountable. Nigerian Muslims are therefore called upon to cast back their minds to the good virtues of the month of Ramadan and keep to its teachings all through, as the Lord of Ramadan, is and shall remain forever and ever the Lord of other months.”
The JNI added, “We reiterate that the Muslim faithful should intensify prayers for the Ummah against all manner of misfortunes, relief and succour to the economic challenges bedevilling the nation. JNI wishes all Muslim faithful an accepted Ramadan Fast and successful Eid-elFitr.”
